The first time I heard a racist comment was in Rome, the students were saying stuff like, "Hey terrorist, are going to bomb our nation?" I wasn't getting really bothered because I thought they were just joking around, just until it was getting worse when almost everyone was bothering me by making racist jokes of my religion!That is when I was getting really mad at certain people! But then I knew that ignoring them would eventually make them stop. Some people understood that I was getting annoyed by the jokes and they stopped but some other people are just complete ediots and they like bugging people since they know that it is annoying me!
After living 7 years in Rome I got transferred to Panama City: where I am going to live currently for 4 years! When I went to school(B.A.) the first day it was all fine, just until they found out the second day that I was muslim this is what changed everyone from being friends with me! It was like a voice command to my body to make me stand out of the crowd.
The racist jokes became even worse in this school. But it is getting better as the months are passing, but some people I know that they are kidding, but some people are really annoying, but I think they are realizing that it is a bad thing to do!
